In 1986, Midea had developed its business in Hong Kong. In the initial stage, Midea Hong Kong focused on selling air-conditioning products and mainly on project-based. Until 1999, Midea Hong Kong officially developed its retail projects. Today, we will further expand our business to other small appliances such as: microwave, oven, dishwasher, sterilizing cupboard,induction cooker, fans, hot pots, vacuum cleaners, washing machine and refrigerator etc., and look forward to the gradual diversification of Midea’s electrical products to the Hong Kong market. In 2010, Midea won magazine (South ChinaMedia) the best Editor’s recommendation award - "Best small kitchen appliances Award". And the same year, Ming Pao and the Chinese University of Hong Kong jointly organized the election of the 2010-2011 corporate brand, Midea also won the "Consumer favorite Chinese brand- Consumer Award".
